Workplace
giving continues to be the single largest area of support
to the annual United Way and the programs and services
supported through a United Way gift.
In 2004, almost 60 percent of the campaign was a result
of employees supporting their employer's workplace campaign.
Whether they chose to use a payroll giving option,
a credit card option, a one-time gift option or wanted
United Way to invoice them for their pledge, employees
through the workplace provided more than $6.9 million
in support to their community through participation
in United Way.
Add the corporate support from those organizations
and the impact was more than $10.3 million.
