In cooperation with the Social Services Task Force of Nine Counties. One Vision., United Way provided financial and technical support for the nine county regional needs assessment that was completed in 2004.

The final report, consisting of three components, is available in a CD format and can be found online.

Data is available by county and can be compared to regional, state and national information. The needs assessment provides a comprehensive examination of health and human service needs or issues, as well as barriers and gaps in available programs.

It is also a tool that will inform those interested in strengthening our region's quality of life and enhance various nonprofit organizations' resource development abilities through the use of statistics.

The report's definitive findings demonstrate the region's interrelated strengths and weaknesses and provide users with the ability to identify specific areas of need.
