Introduction
On behalf of United Way’s Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to deliver this annual report in celebration of our many accomplishments throughout this past year.
Because of your support, our success continues in our many endeavors to help strengthen our community. Our volunteers work tirelessly to raise and allocate funds, manage our finances, tell the United Way story, and comply with all required nonprofit regulations. In response, United Way of Greater Knoxville is able to impact lives on a daily basis.
This past year was devoted to supporting hundreds of programs through many local nonprofit organizations surrounding the Knox County community. We strive to promote self-sufficiency by supporting programs that encourage educational opportunities, healthcare, and financial stability.
In closing, we are excited to see what the 2008 year will bring for us and sincerely thank you for your continued support. We promise to do our best to help make the biggest impact in our local community.
